Patrick later attended the University of Wisconsin Law School, wherein he graduated in 1992. He is licensed to exercise law in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa and New Mexico. He is a member of the Wisconsin Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, and the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Patrick and his spouse Carol live in Whitefish Bay. He is an active bicycle owner in his leisure time.
