He then pursued his prison education on the University of South Carolina School of Law, graduating in 2016. During law college, Joe became actively involved in the Black Law Student Association, serving as President of the Honorable Matthew J. Perry Chapter and as the National Financial Secretary for the National Black Law Student Association. In his loose time, Joe is dedicated to mentoring others as a way to provide back to the community.
